Welcome from the principal

Dear all,

My name is Johanna Bohlin and I am the school's Principal since 2024. Having worked within the organization since 2009, I have seen how we make every student succeed based on their circumstances by having high academic expectations, striving daily for a safe and calm school environment and teaching our students to master the English language.

I strongly believe in a disciplined environment and the concept of "Tough Love". Every lesson should have routines and order so that students can acquire knowledge. Students should feel daily that their teachers care, support and believe in them. By creating a positive learning environment in our school, our students and staff can focus on the positive aspects of learning that are filled with joy and creativity.

School should be educational and interesting for our students and it is us, the school staff, who ensure that we create the best conditions for each student's future. The student council is a big part of this work and I attend every meeting to listen to what my students need to feel good and thrive.

In order for students to thrive in school, be inspired and challenged, I believe that teaching should also take place outside the classroom in the form of, for example, field studies, museum visits and similar excursions.
In August 2024, we implemented the House System, which has been very appreciated by both students and staff. It is fantastic to see how this has been positive for the school culture and joy here.
The school library on floor 3 has really gotten a boost since our passionate school librarian took over the helm and together with the teachers we can focus even more on increasing the students' reading skills.

I also have high expectations of my staff and am proud of their daily work where they do more than what is expected. I also expect all students to do their best based on their circumstances for the sake of their own future. By also having a good collaboration with the guardians and the parents' association, we can work to give our students the opportunities to reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
