Welcome!

We are delighted you are interested in our school.
Below, we have gathered information on how the admissions process works and the steps required to add your child to the queue for Internationella Engelska Skolan Landskrona.

If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to reach out to us at any time - we would be happy to assist.

QUEUE AND SIBLING PRIORITY

Important information about the queue

  • Places are offered in order of queue date. The earlier you register your child in the queue, the greater the chance of being offered a place at the school.

  • The earliest you can register your child in the queue is 1 February in the year after they are born.

  • Sibling priority may apply. For this to be valid, the sibling(s) must already be enrolled at, or still attending, an IES school when the other child starts.

Admissions Process: Step by Step

How to apply for the queue

There are no fees to attend IES schools. Our schools are funded in the same way as those run by the municipality, through the Swedish tax system and the school voucher (skolpeng).

As part of our main intake process we hold a workshop day, which can give a taste of what it is like to study with IES. These days and open houses are the best way to try out our schools and decide if they are right for you. To avoid disruption to our students, we do not offer potential students the chance to join a school on a trial basis.

You can start at our schools with any level of English. Up to half of the education is conducted in English, and teachers have a great deal of experience in helping students learn to command the English language, using language immersion.

Our students learn to command the English language quickly. In grade F-3 we introduce English gradually, giving students the tools to succeed in their lessons through the English language.

The maximum number of students in a class varies depending on the age of the student.

In general at our schools this means:

F-3: 28 per class

4-5: 30 per class

6-9: 32 per class.

Most of our schools begin their intake for the following academic year in the autumn term. The length of the process depends on how quickly we hear back from families who are offered places.

Yes, all of our schools have libraries and librarians. The library is a space where students can find or request books which will broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge and find something inspirational to read. They are also important spaces for students to quietly pursue independent study, or work on their homework.
