Preparing every child for the world, at every age

Högstadiet (Years seven to nine)

Preparing students for their future is at the heart of this stage.

  • Command of English: Your child's bilingual skills are fully developed. Continued English immersion enables them to navigate an international environment with confidence.

  • High Academic Expectations: We support each student to reach their full potential. We show our students that we believe in them – that they can develop further and achieve more than they think – giving them a goal to aim for. The curriculum is delivered to promote development and learning for all students, and a lifelong desire to learn.  It stimulates students' creativity, curiosity and self-confidence, as well as their willingness to try and translate ideas into action and solve problems. IES is also an accredited Cambridge Associate. Students at many of our schools can study courses from the internationally recognised programme, the Cambridge IGCSE. This program complements the Swedish curriculum (LGR22), offering advanced learning in English and preparing students for global higher education and careers.

  • Safe and Orderly Environment: A focused learning atmosphere is our priority. We provide clear structures and expectations that empower students to take responsibility and contribute to a welcoming space. Our school-wide routines, active staff presence, and dedicated support staff ensure a secure environment where your child can flourish.
